Joy for you- Decorative Ornaments

Hi friends, the new Joy for You release is now available at Simon Says Stamp!

I received the Decorative Ornament Stamp from Simon Says Stamp for release. When I first got the stamp and no dies for it, I wasn’t sure on where I would go with it. There are coordinating dies though! At first I stamped out two different ornaments in two different colors on white card stock. I was not a fan, so I kept the two off to the side and went another direction.

Using a pink background card stock, I stamped on a red ornament with Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink. I was thinking I would be using my Brother scan and cut to cut out each ornament. But instead I kept stamping out with an even amount In between the ornaments. I kept the opening to the bottom left free of any ornaments to have a place for my sentiment in the set that I stamped and gold heat embossed.

The scary part for me is that I would have to line up the toppers of the ornaments to gold heat emboss them. Well, it actually went really well t my surprise.

Then after I did the toppers I went back and added the strings to some of them.

I think it turned out so pretty that I went back to the original ornaments that I stamped on white card stock. I cut the two red ornaments out using my Scan & Cut.

Stamped and gold heat-embossed the toppers and strings and cut them out too. Before I attached the toppers to the ornaments, I trimmed off the white where they meet with the ornaments. This way you would never know they are two pieces.

For my background, I used the Scalloped Arches Die and cut it out with white cardstock. Then I ran the white panel through using the previously released Snowflake Visions embossing folder.

Using the Ho Ho Holiday Greens Dies, I die-cut out the foliage and assembled around the arch of the white panel.

For the bow I used the Beautiful Bows Embossing Folder and Die.

Using the sentiment in the set I stamped and white heat embossed it on Raven cardstock, and fussy cut it.
