Christmas Mugs

Hi friends! I’m so excited to finally share the Christmas Mugs from Pretty Pink Posh! I don’t even think Simon or Scrapbook.com have them yet in their shops! Mean old Customs held on to half of their new release product for 70 days, normally it’s at most 2 days! They tried to put a tamper on our Holiday spirit, but oh no they won’t! Also the Gingerbread House Dies are in stock now too!

Any how! To start off, I made a 5×7 card so I could make both of the mugs in this set. They’re just so darn cute.

With the new Cobblestone Stencil and the white 5 x 7 panel I inked on a lighter red dye ink. Then once I removed the stencil I went over the panel with the remaining ink on my brush giving it Pink tone. Next I splattered with water down Dr. Martin PH bleed proof.

Merry Greetings Coordinating Dies (PPP) (SSS)

Notched Squares Dies (PPP) (SSS)

Sentiment Stripes Dies (PPP) (SSS)

I should also mention these are the Christmas cookies stamp set that was on the free gift with purchase promotion when the release first hit the shop. But don’t worry because there is another set called Sweet Christmas Cookies and the Coordinating Dies.

I die-cut out both of my mugs, added some dimension with copics on Santa’s beard and Mustache and dye ink for the reindeer mug. I added on some rosy cheeks to both as well and gave the reindeer some lashes.

Next, I stamped out the Christmas cookies and Copic colored them in. Once the coloring was done I cut them out with their coordinating dies.

Using the Notched Square Dies I was able to die-cut two panels to separate them out from the background.

Then using the Merry Greeting stamp set, I stamped “Merry” and white heat embossed it on Raven cardstock and using the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. Then I did the “ Christmas” with white embossing powder on red card stock But using the Sentiment Stripes die to cut in a thin strip.

Once I started to assemble my card, I was having a hard time with the design. Both then I tucked the Snowman into the Reindeer mug, dipping cookies in your hot cocoa!

My final step was adding white highlights, Stickles and glossy Accents to the reindeer nose.
